KOTUWA

Kotuwa, named after the Sri Lankan capital’s central business district, aims to bring the sights, sounds and tastes from Sri Lankan’s streets and markets to the Singapore diner. It also means “fort” in Sinhalese, a reminder of the ancient landmarks built by Sinhalese kings and the Portuguese, Dutch and British settlers that have influenced the country's history, culture and cuisine.

Since 2020, Kotuwa has proudly championed Sri Lankan cuisine in Singapore, led by two-Michelin-starred Chef Rishi Naleendra as an homage to his heritage. Embodying Sri Lanka's vibrant and generous dining culture, the menu features traditional dishes reimagined in bright, creative ways — from famous Sri Lankan short eats and signatures like Hoppers, Kottu Rotti, and Crab Curry, to a myriad of curries, housemade sambols, and preserves, all made from quality ingredients that are as robust and flavourful as the streets and stories that inspire them.

Now located in New Bahru, Kotuwa also boasts a standalone cocktail bar that spotlights Arrack, Sri Lanka's celebrated native spirit.
