Rachel Tan is a Singapore-based, self-taught Photographer and Food Stylist. Throughout her education in Psychology, and work in Marketing and Public Relations, Rachel dabbled in photography as a hobby, then for work in the marketing and social media space.
As new and exciting opportunities began to unfold, she quickly realised that her hobby had become part of her livelihood. Rachel now works with a variety of brands, primarily in the food and beverage industry. These include Cloudstreet (part of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2021 & 2022, Michelin Star 2022), now-defunct Cheek Bistro ( ), Kotuwa (Michelin Bib Gourmand List 2021 & 2022), FOOL (Michelin Bib Gourmand List 2022), Neon Pigeon, Fat Prince and more. Her works have been used in publications like The Business Times, Singapore Tatler, The PEAK, Men's Folio, TimeOut, and Yahoo among others. She has also made a guest appearance as a photography and marketing consultant on Channel News Asia's On The Red Dot: Dish Upon A Star.
A storyteller at heart, Rachel draws much of her inspiration from the beautiful architecture, nature spots, burgeoning food and beverage scene, as well as the interesting people she meets in sunny island, Singapore. She is passionate about creating unique perspectives and telling stories through her lens as she continues to seek the extraordinary in the ordinary.
When she is not behind the camera, you can find her spending time with her little boy and enjoying the pleasures (and pains) of parenthood.
